Here we go...This begins my third year for logging entries.  Not really sure why I started doing this in the first place, but it is nice to look back so the progression is clearer to see.

This log is bound to have its shortcomings though.  Our newest annual (or is that anal?) bid sheet at work has done away with my shift.  For that matter, they have turned the start times, days and anything else they can think of, upside down!  I will still get 4-10's, but most likely will have to work Thur, Fri, Sat and Sun now...Effectively eliminating Tai Chi, unless I can somehow talk them into letting me work early that day....Somehow I doubt that will happen.

Anyway...Here is wishing you, me and anyone else, a very happy, healthy, productive and hopefully prosperous new year!

And awwwwwaaaaayyyy we go!!!   Grin

January 5, 2009

Shaolin Do...

At 6pm, taught the Blue Belt Class.  At 7pm, did White through Green Belt Empty Hand material, sparred three rounds and worked with Jackie on lower rank material.

John was down with the crud, so I did the drills for the 6pm class so he could save some voice for 7pm.

Me..I've been tired all week long and have had very little quality sleep time.  Angry

January 6, 2009...

Shaolin Do...

Before Class...

Did Tai Chi Iron Fan Form, Tai Chi Sword, Table Top Sword, Seven Star Sword, Pa Kua, Parts A and B of the Hsing-I Two Man Set and what I have learned of the Tiger-Crane Duet.

During Class...

Did Black Tigers, Spears, Pa Kua, Hsing-I Fist of Five Roads, Hsing-I Five Roads Linkage Form, Hsing-I 12 Animals Set, Parts A and B of the Hsing-I Two Man Set, Table Top Sword, Seven Star Sword, Buddha Fist, did what I know of the Tiger-Crane Duet and talked to two brothers, looking to rejoin Shaolin Do...Mike and Jeff Roy.

John called in...still had the crud.  Danny and Tommy did not show...Buddy was bashful and just wanted to be a student tonight, so I lead the class this evening.

Yep...Too many Blue and Brown belts for the classroom and not enough White or Yellow.

Tai Chi Night...

Before Class...Did 64 Posture Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan

During Class...Did 24 and 64 Postures Yang Style Tai Chi, Tai Chi Sword, Tai Chi Iron Fan and Buddha Fist.

Found out today that my new shift at work will be the Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun shift, so unless I can talk them into letting me come into work early on Thursday, Tai Chi class is out.   Angry

Yeah..I know, but having to work every weekend, I could have at least had better hours.

Thur and Fri... 9:30am to 7:30pm
Sat and Sun... 8:00am to 6:00pm

Who knows...maybe I can talk them into moving Thur back a couple hours, but I doubt it.

Will probably do my Tai Chi on Mondays before class, so I don't get cold on it.

John was still lacking vocals, so I did the drills for both classes.
